DIVESTITURE AS A STRATEGY FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES SURVIVAL
Abstract
This study examined divestiture as a strategy for small and medium enterprises survival. The methodology used is a review of relevant and extant literature, reports on Apple, Shell Petroleum Nigeria,Union Bank NIG. PLC ,General Motor and after which a conclusion was made. Small and medium enterprises failures in Nigeria have caused concerned to scholars due to its failure rate and its attendant consequences on the economy of Nigeria. It was revealed that firm can choose the divestiture option that addressed its failing performance to revamp the firm to healthy performance.
