CYBER CRIME AND STRATEGIES FOR REDUCING ITS MENACE AMONG NIGERIAN YOUTH THROUGH PROPER IMPLEMENTATION OF CYBER SECURITY AND EMPLOYMENT CREATION

Abstract


Crime is as old as man. So far that society exists, there must be good and evil. Evil permits the existence of crime. However, this paper examined cyber crime and strategies for reducing its menace among Nigerian youth through proper implementation of cyber security and employment creation. It strongly recommends that the religious bodies should preach against the evil of cyber crime that is destabilizing the youth and societal growth and development. Again, it recommends that the government should provide employment opportunities for the youth thereby giving them the space for personal growth and to contribute to the development of the society at large.
